  • Awarded Honorable Mention (2nd Place) from the Joe Durso Awards for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism in category of Best Radio Spot News Coverage Edited for “International Food Festival” (2009)
  • Awarded first and third place honors in the category of radio sports reporting in the Society of Professional Journalists 2009 Mark of Excellence Awards.
  • Awarded first place honors for two separate stories in the categories of feature news reporting and feature photography in the Society of Professional Journalists 2010 Mark of Excellence Awards.

“Sports Talk” Show Host

  • Organize and host a live Sports Talk radio show every Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
  • Produce show scripts, organize live on-air guests and complete follow-up research on local and national sporting news.

  • Head-coached a Rotary 6th Grade basketball team to a 17-2 record and the league championship, 2006.
  • Member of F.H.S. Speech and Debate’s Extemporaneous Speaking Squad; helped the team to two state championships and earned a spot on the team taken to National Qualifiers in 2005 and 2006.
